Disney's Typhoon Lagoon Orlando:

Twisting rides, roaring rapids, wonderful waterways and relaxing rivers are waiting at Tropical Disney's Typhoon Lagoon.

This features a couple of healthy body slides, a very nice and relaxing inner tube creek ride that runs the perimeter of the park, and the big Wave Pool. Every few minutes this pool self generates 6-foot waves and douses everyone in its wake.

Also, of note here is the diving pool. Guests are invited to sport a scuba mask, and swim across the surface of a pool loaded with tropical fish and plant life, oh.. and yes, a shark or two (I'm not kidding).

Park Tips:
  • Plan ahead and check to make sure the park is not closed because it has reached capacity.
  • Get there early if your day is planned around doing Typhoon Lagoon.
  • Between October and March only 1 of the 2 Disney Water Parks will be open at a time.
  • Don't forget your swim suits.
  • Take your own food, Disney's Typhoon Lagoon can be expensive.

Park Entrance Fees:
  • You need a maths degree to figure out the way theme parks price their tickets, as they vary so wildly.
  • Choosing the cheapest day is not always the best option as the park could be a lot busier.
  • Keep an eye out for ticket promotions. Be careful though, if it looks too good to be true then it will be.
  • Consider Multi-Park tickets. Discounts are available for parks within the same organisation.
  • Compare buying in your own currency or in Dollars, you would be surprised.
  • Don't forget you have to pay "State Tax". Currently it is 6%.

Parking Fees:
  • Parking is included with admission price.
